How Missouri Medicaid Is Organized
MO HealthNet is the Missouri Medicaid program itself. It is not a separate insurance company.
For most members, one of three health plans manages the benefits: Home State Health, MO Healthy Blue or UHC Community Plan. Some members are covered directly by the state instead, which is called MO HealthNet fee-for-service.
All of these are Missouri Medicaid, and we accept each one.
The Plans We Accept
Is It the Plan We Accept?
Plan names can be confusing. Many people say “I have UHC” or “I have Home State Health” when their coverage is a different product from the same company, such as coverage through an employer. We accept the Missouri Medicaid plan from each company. If your card shows a different kind of plan, text us the plan name and we’ll check it for you.
How Approval Works
Whichever plan you have, your plan must approve treatment before surgery. We request the approval and keep you updated. How Prior Authorization Works →
Once your plan approves your treatment, you pay nothing for oral surgery or your child’s dental treatment with us.
